I used to soak my goldies' foods in a big plastic cup, that was a hassel since the food will always stick to the bottom of the cup when i poured it out and my fish will be afraid of a giant red thing being dipped in to get water.
Here is my solution:
I bought a coffee measuring cup (or any measuring spoon thats big enough should do) just for my fish. They cost about 75 cents. And now I use that to soak my fish food. I just dip the cup in, scoop some water out, put the food in and wait until its soaked. The food comes our easily and you can always dip the spoon in because it is small and doesn't scare the fish.
